Cook the song.

SAZÓN is a rhythm-cooking game where every kitchen action is an instrument. Chop on the clave, pound the kick, sizzle the güiro and stir the bass. Your cooking is the music, and the dish you plate is your performance.

You are the new cook at a block party that stretches across six kitchens. Mamá Remi, the family's retired cook, can't stand at the stove for hours anymore, so she coaches you from her stool through six dishes, six sounds and one lesson: sazón isn't in the recipe. It's what you add by listening.

How it plays

  • Four stations, four lanes. Chop on the tabla, pound in the pilón, shake the sartén, stir the olla. Hit each ingredient as it lands, and hold the long ones.
  • Taste everything. Every ingredient is a flavor: salado, ácido, dulce, amargo or picante. Grab the optional pizcas to balance your plate against what the three guests ordered.
  • Build the groove. Land your beats and the music grows layer by layer, from drums to harmony to lead to voices. Fill the molcajete and drop your sazón for four bars of glowing, double-score celebration.
  • Pick your heat. Four difficulties: Suave, Sabroso, Picante and Habanero. Turn on Relaxed Kitchen if you'd rather just cook and enjoy.

Mix it, watch out, share it

  • Mézclalo. Before each dish, choose a fusion ingredient from another tradition. It adds its own music, shifts the flavor balance and raises the stakes.
  • Cuidado. Over-seasoned plates, boiling-over pots, a flipped kitchen, rising heat, drifting smoke. Every hazard shows up before it hits, and every one can be fixed.
  • Qué raro. A tiny spice spirit lives in the molcajete. Hit the singing chile. Don't ask about the onion.
  • Compartélo. Each finished dish becomes a recipe card and a short recipe code. Send it to a friend, and they cook your exact version and try to beat your Pizcas.
  • Celebración. The whole game is a party, and the cook's table is full by the end.

Controls

  • Keyboard: D F J K for the four stations, Space for the Sazón Drop, Esc to pause, R to restart (all rebindable)
  • Headphones recommended. Run the Calibrate screen in Settings once if your hits feel early or late.
